Let start with the Jubilee MK1
Great first time machine.

Excellent mechanism ..Will run for yrs on end.

Parts are readily available for the mechanism.

Very well constructed.

If its your first machine try and avoid one with a separate
jackpot ..ie has a small window in the front that fills up with
coins .

Is slightly more valuable if you get on with its lights still in
position.

DO NOT  buy one that needs new locks as these can be
very hard indeed to get hold of and no other lock will do the
same job ... Believe me!

Overall a great machine for the first time buyer and can be
got for a reasonable price of auction sites.
The Jubilee Riviera

Excellent machine for the first time buyer .

The door opens from the front with the lock  at the side and
a cash tray that runs on ball bearings and has its own
separate lock.

Try to get one with locks and keys that work ...if you get one

Finally try and get one with good chrome ...if chrome is bad
it could cost you near £150 not counting the man hours to
refurbish it.

As above for the MK1 jubilee try and avoid one fitted with a
live jackpot ..but there is exceptions to this rule that i may
Over all an excellent machine for the beginner !!
Mills High Top
this is by far the most common of the Mills machines.

Older machines so are more for the enthusiast rather
than the novice or beginner.

Although Extremely well built machines.I would not advise
one of these machines for the novice for the following
reasons.

If they break down they aint as easy as the above
machines to repair although parts are getting more
common now due to auction sites.

Coins are more likely to get jammed and can cause
damage if not careful .

To access these machines you have to go in through the
back  and once mechanism has been removed you will
soon see that the jackpot mechanism does not come out
with it ..ie mechanism is attached to the shell. (this is only
the case if it has a live jackpot fitted.)

Should these machines fail i would strongly suggest
leaving it to some one who knows what  they are doing or
at least buy yourself a user manual to give your self a
chance.

If you do decide to go for one of these machines then try
and get one with the dagger handle as these are worth a
bit more.

Warning !! Before purchase of a mills machine you
MUST  check the mechanism and make sure it is
stamped MLB if it aint got these marks on the
mechanism walk away or take my advice and run... its a
fake !!
