Jennings Governor & Chief ( indian head )
Moving on to the Jennings Governor

the Jennings machines due to the brass Indian head
sitting on top on top of a live jackpot and the whole front
of machine being mirror finished in chrome .

Again like the Mills High Top this machine has to be
accessed from the rear but unlike the Mills when the
mechanism is removed the jackpot comes out with it
thus making a repair to the jackpot a lot easier.

Very well built machines but if you buy one that is in need
of re-chroming be prepared for a large bill not counting
the time you will have to put in getting it dismantled.

Once again if this machine fails it is better left to a pro for
repair.

Overall  like the Mills High Top this one should be
avoided if your a novice due to the price of repairs and
parts.

If you do decide to get one of these machines you MUST
check all payouts work including the jackpot before you
part with your hard earned.
Sega
Well what can we say about sega ?

Sega bought into mills in the later years there for there
machines are  almost identical to the Mills .

these machines is you can pick one up for a very
reasonable price and they also have the added bonus
of lighting up .

For the price you can pick one of these up for there well
worth the investment ....They are a very under rated
machine .

Get one of these in very good to excellent condition and
who knows ...Few year you may double/ Triple your
cash.

As with all machines that have chrome parts make sure
chrome is in very good condition especialy the cash
tray and handle on Segas

As they are identical to Mills please read above Mills .
Aristocrat

This makes them very heavy but very well built .

The Aristocrat machines have the quietest reel stops
that i know of ...this was due to them using modern tech
,ie reel cogs where made from a plastic resin .

Being made from all metal you really do have to look for
rust and like all the other machines chrome is a very
important factor .

99% of  Aristocrats where fitted with lights making them
very appealing for home owners .

sure the bottom lock in perticuler is complete and
working ....Beware of ones saying needs new bottom
lock and these are very cheap ...you wont get one ! ...if
there so easy to get hold of why does there owners not fit
one before selling ? ...Hmmm !!

In general ... Very well built machines and there mechs
will run for ever .

Good value for money .

If you like these machines by all means get one but there
not for me .

Here is sum usefull info on aristocrats....

later changed to Dolman they made electrical
switchgear for trams etc, vending machines and ticket
machines for London Underground.. The Brooklands
version came out as afloor standing model with
cricketing motifs and then with fruit symbols .in the
50's

Thanks to Michael Jordan for the info .

In my opinion an excellent example of  British
engineering at its best :=)
